Walker Hotel Greenwich Village stands on West 13th Street in a Georgian-revival building of the kind found on Fifth Avenue in the 1920s: copper-clad bay windows, cast stone trim and antique glass lit by gas lanterns.
Inside, the rooms turn to Art Deco, with custom Makassar ebony furniture across eight room types between 175 and 270 square feet. Society Café cooks American food with produce from the Union Square Greenmarket. The Parlour, the lounge off the lobby, has a library fireplace and live jazz from Monday to Saturday, played by musicians from The New School.
Washington Square Park, Union Square and the Meatpacking District are a short walk away.
