La Bastide du Mourre was a Provençal hamlet before it became a hotel, and it still reads as one: 17 rooms spread across several old buildings behind dry-stone walls, with olive trees, garrigue and the Luberon hills below. Oppède-le-Vieux is minutes away, Gordes about fifteen.
The days are built around slowing down. Yoga, Pilates and guided walks are included, the spa uses organic On The Wild Side treatments and keeps a Nordic bath in the old kitchen building, and the Table d'Hôtes serves one set menu of local produce, Tuesday to Saturday.
The whole house can be taken privately, sleeping thirty-four, with pool, spa, gardens and tennis court.
